In Memory of Ramona H. McClain
Ramona H. McClain, aged 92, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Canyon Lake, TX. Originally from Logansport, LA, she was born on September 24, 1932. After completing high school, Ramona worked as a model for the renowned Marshall Fields in Chicago and later became an artist for Hemenway Furniture Company in Shreveport, LA, while also contributing to clerical roles in the Food Industry. Passionate about art, music, and gardening, she had a deep love for animals.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Paul Wellborn, Sr., and Richard O. McClain. Ramona is survived by her daughter Grace Estill and son Paul Welborn, along with four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation will take place on October 4, 2025, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, followed by a service and interment. The family expresses gratitude to the ICU nurses for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, the ASPCA, or a charity of choice.
